Online Therapy for Adults Based in Garden City & Available Across NY

Understand what’s keeping you stuck. Actually do something different.

For people who are used to figuring things out on their own—and ready for a different approach.

On the outside, your life looks like it works.

You have a career, responsibilities, and people who rely on you. Maybe you’re managing a household, raising kids, building something professionally—or all of the above. In a lot of ways, you’re doing what you’re “supposed” to be doing.

BUT IT DOESN’T FEEL THE WAY YOU thought IT WOULD.

You’ve gotten really good at “keeping it together” and showing up when it “matters.” But it takes more effort than anyone really sees. You’ve probably spent a lot of time trying to figure this out and might even have some insight from past therapy into why you feel this way—but insight hasn’t actually changed it. At this point, the constant self-analyzing isn’t just overwhelming—it’s frustrating.

YOU MIGHT also BE DEALING WITH…

  • Trying to focus on work while your mind keeps replaying things—re-reading the same email three times, overthinking how it sounds, or worrying how you’re coming across

  • Holding yourself to a high standard professionally, but still feeling like you’re behind, not doing enough, or about to be “found out”

  • Feeling a deep responsibility for how other people feel—managing the tone, smoothing things over, and avoiding conflict even when something bothers you

  • Saying yes to things you don’t actually have the capacity for and then feeling overwhelmed, resentful, or stretched too thin

  • Using things like alcohol, food, substances, or distractions to take the edge off—and then not feeling great about it afterward

  • Knowing something from your past still affects you, even if you wouldn’t necessarily call it trauma—and not fully understanding why it still shows up

hi, i’m Kristina.

Therapy should do more than help you cope. It should help you understand yourself differently and move through life differently, too.

That means making space for what’s hard and being direct about what’s getting in the way of you living a better life. So while I’ll listen closely and work to fully understand your experience, I’ll also be honest, give clear feedback, and point out patterns that may be difficult for you to see on your own. You already understand a lot about yourself. The problem is, insight alone hasn’t changed the pattern. So this isn’t just another place to vent. We’re here to figure out what’s really in the way and do something about it.

The patterns make sense. They don’t have to stay.

My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening, challenge the patterns that aren’t working, and support you in doing something different with that awareness—because insight is important, but so is what you do with it—both inside and outside of the session.
